Reset Firewall & Network (Windows 7/8/10)

It may happen that the Windows firewall doesn't work as it should. This may break the VPN connection. This problem can occur, for example, due to incompatible security or network software. You can fix the problem by resetting Windows Firewall to its default settings.

Follow the steps in this guide when asked to do so by the support team.

Main window of the Perfect Privacy VPN Manager | Reset Firewall & Network (Windows 7/8/10)

First exit the Perfect Privacy VPN Manager by clicking the Quit button located at the bottom of the main window.

Start menu: Open Control Panel | Reset Firewall & Network (Windows 7/8/10)

Then open the Control Panel.

In the Control Panel, click System and Security.

There, click Windows Defender Firewall.

In the firewall settings, click Restore Defaults on the left side.

Here you can reset the firewall to the default settings by clicking the Restore defaults button.

A dialog opens where you have to confirm this again by clicking Yes.

Perfect Privacy VPN Manager: Reset network | Reset Firewall & Network (Windows 7/8/10)

After resetting the Windows Firewall, open the Perfect Privacy VPN software again.

Go to Settings → Other and click on Reset → Reset networking.
